What fuels your tough workouts?
The search for a healthy protein bar that isn't always easy, especially when most are borderline candy bars due to added sugars and unnecessary chemicals. I was incredibly excited when I first heard about Rise Bars about this time last year. Eat This! Not That! recently voted them the best protein bar for a flat belly, which is a pretty big deal. This California-based brand is on a mission to deliver the simplest, real food, highest quality protein snacks. If you know me, you know I LOVE protein bars due to their convenience (and taste). The only thing that would make the Rise Bar brand better is if they were available in more grocery stores in Chicago! ;)
Back in May, Rise Bar generously donated protein bars for all Brunch X Burn @ Equinox guests (their staff is so wonderful!). It was really cool to see my guests try Rise Bar for the first time and get excited about the fact that their protein bars are made with 5 ingredients or less. A few of my girlfriends are vegan and were obsessed with the Lemon Cashew bar (made with real cashews, coconut nectar, pea protein and lemon...yes, lemon. so tasty!). My favorites were definitely the Almond Honey (almonds, honey + whey protein) and Snicker Doodle (almonds, honey, whey, cinnamon + vanilla). I can't wait to try some of the other flavors. Whole Foods, here I come! I've never been so excited about a protein bar...definitely check out risebar.com or your nearest Whole Foods to try some of their bars! I'm partial to the protein bars, but they also have fruit and nut whole fruit bars. High protein. Organic. Non-GMO, Gluten-free. Soy-free. Peanut-free. No additives. High protein. Real food.
Other top favorite protein bar brands include: RXBAR, LARABAR, Macro Bar and Quest Nutrition.
